Race Night in Summerside

It looks like it's going to clear up to be a great race night and Rollwithitharry should have a race track rated 'fast' for tonight. This will be Harry's first road trip to race in 4 years, and being a stallion, trucking with other horses and stepping into a different paddock for the first time are all challenges that we hope he'll take like an 'old pro'!

With 16 races beginning at 6:30pm, Harry probably won't leave Charlottetown until about 5:30pm. The Matheson's have 4 other horses racing tonight in Sside including Woodmere's Collective Wisdom in the 15th for the Open Mares final.  With the Carnival going in the background, there should be a great crowd and atmosphere by the time Harry goes to Post in Race 11 at 9:50pm.  He'll be on the track to warm up after the 9th in his pink gear!

What to look for during the race: Harry will have to leave hard to protect his rail position, Adkins Hanover likes to race on front and we know Sock It Away will be leaving hard off the gate. With Sock It Away being the favourite to win the race, Gilles will likely be content to follow him but nobody else.  In the perfect script, we want Sock It Away to see a good stiff challenge from one of the other horses at the half mile to 3/4 so he doesn't get a breather then Harry can test him down the stretch to the finish line!  Fortunately, you can never write a script for a horse race... that's what makes it so EXCITING!!    Good luck Harry!!!
