Now that we're past Harness the Hope, we'll try our best to inform about not only Harry but the horse racing industry in general. So if you ever have any questions then please ask, we'll be glad to help.
Harry will take a week off this week and, in case you are wondering, we'll go through the 'why'. A couple things to start: We have Harry with the Matheson family for a reason. They will always do what's best for your horse, which is no different then most training barns in our industry. Also, it was never our intention to race Harry every week. He's started 4 weeks in a row now and if we race this weekend and both weekends of Old Home Week then that would be 7 weeks in a row. By taking a pass on this week, it allows the horses that are a notch better to sort themselves into a Gold Cup Trial. Then, the Preferred 1 class becomes a much more even group for all the horses. We will also then be good to go for 2 races Old Home Week. We never get involved with the decision making of managing Harry. Overtime we've grown to understand it, but we always know that Ronnie is always going to do what's best for Harry. It's possible that skipping a tough race early in August might get you 4 more races later in the year; and that's good for Harry, Rollwithitharry Racing, and the industry! We still have several Ownership Certificates, please if you haven't received yours then send us your address so we can mail it to you. The other option would be to pick it up at Matheson stable. Please let us know. Comments are closed.
